(5.0) Project Info iFly Magazine was KLM’s interactive travel platform — a place where storytelling and design came together to inspire the next adventure. Through immersive articles, striking visuals, and editorial curation, it brought destinations to life and helped readers discover new cultures, cuisines, and hidden gems. a) Over time, the platform had grown in size and complexity, making navigation difficult and content harder to explore. We were brought in to rethink the experience from the ground up — simplifying the architecture, elevating the design, and putting storytelling back at the center. b) Through extensive user research, we designed a flexible system that gave editors more freedom while ensuring a consistent, immersive experience. A modular design approach, soft color palettes, and a refined editorial aesthetic created space for content to breathe — while rich media integration made each story more engaging. c) Although the platform was eventually sunset due to the impact of Covid-19, iFly remained for many years a benchmark in digital travel inspiration — and a powerful tool for customer engagement.
